Simple and transparent for you.
2.5% + $1.
The dollar is for us.
Online and (soon) by phone, the 2.5% pays for the credit card processing cost.
In person, the 2.5% goes to the LEGtix network partner that sells the ticket for you.
If you wish to pass on the fee to your guests, we recommend passing it on as 2.6% + $1, as we will always take exactly 2.5% + $1 of whatever the customer is charged.
Simple and transparent for your guests.
The only time we will ever add any amount to the sale at the cart is if you require us to post a physical ticket. If you use eTix or only require the customer to present a receipt, there's no such charge - then, the price they see on the listing is the price they pay. The end.
When should I close my bookings?
That's entirely up to you, but here's a couple of things to keep in mind.
To keep our pricing structure as simple and low as it is and still provide a quality service, we've carefully chosen our credit card processor. Our release time for the full balance of your funds is the later of 10 calendar days after the last day of ticket sales or 1 day after the last date of your event. This timing is a small sacrifice for the quality of service, ease of use, and low and simple pricing - and we believe it's worth it.
Also, there's ticket batching. What is ticket batching? For eTix, our tickets are batch-sent for the day between 9pm AWST and 12am midnight AWST. So, we wouldn't advise having online sales with eTix close on the same day as your event. For postal tickets, we'd recommend allowing 5 business days for tickets to make their way through the postal system.
We can close an event in multiple stages if there are multiple dates, no problem.
We can close it in different areas of the network at different times as well. For example, closing eTix (including, soon, by phone) sales the day before, and retail sales up until 5pm on the day of the event.
How and when do I get paid?
We can either send a direct funds transfer to an Australian bank account, provide you with a cheque, or transfer to a PayPal account. Please note PayPal may charge fees for funds you receive through their system.
If you have only one event date, your balance will be paid to you in full on the later of either:
- 10 calendar days after the last day of sales; or
- 2 business days after the event.
If you have multiple event dates, the above rule will apply individually to each date. So, you'll receive one payment per unique event date.
Why do we apply this rule? For the security of you and your guests. Of course, we hope everything goes to plan. But, should you have need to issue refunds, we can be ready to do so when needed, including for the full business day after the event. Following this model ensures the lowest probability of a legal or financial liability for you as a promoter should something go awry.
